ProTip365 (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ProTip365 (the “App”). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the App.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

We collect information that you provide directly to us when you:

  • Register for an account (email address, password)
  • Create or edit your profile (name, preferred language)
  • Set up employers (employer Short names)
  • Enter shift and income data (dates, hours, tips, sales, notes)
  • Configure app settings and preferences
  • Contact us for support

Financial Information

We do NOT directly collect or store any payment card information. All subscription payments are processed securely through Apple’s App Store using Apple’s payment system. Apple handles all payment processing and we do not have access to your payment details.

Usage Information

We may collect information about your use of the App, including:

  • Features you use and frequency of use
  • Performance metrics and crash reports
  • Language preferences and settings
  • Achievement unlocks and milestones

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App
  • Create and manage your account
  • Track your tips, and work hours as you request
  • Calculate statistics and provide analytics about your earnings
  • Save your preferences and settings
  • Send you alerts and notifications you’ve enabled
  • Provide customer support
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the App

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted backend-as-a-service platform. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS
  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest
  • Row-level security to ensure you can only access your own data
  • Secure authentication using encrypted passwords
  • Optional PIN and biometric (Face ID/Touch ID) protection for app access

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following situations:

  • With your consent or at your direction
  • To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests
  • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and that of our users
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (users will be notified)

Your Data Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: You can access all your data within the App
  • Export: You can export your data in CSV format at any time
  • Correction: You can update or correct your information through the App
  • Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data
  • Portability: You can export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Restriction: You can limit how we use your data by adjusting app settings

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information, except where we are required to retain it for legal obligations.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: For data storage and authentication (see Supabase’s privacy policy)
  • Apple App Store: For app distribution and payment processing

  • Account Settings: Update your profile and preferences
  • Notifications: Enable or disable alerts in Settings
  • Security: Set up PIN or biometric protection
  • Data Export: Download your data at any time
  • Account Deletion: Permanently delete your account and data

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of your information (we do not sell your information).

European Privacy Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and to object to processing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
